Wix is a website design platform and hosting company. You may have also heard of platforms such as WordPress, Squarespace or Shopify, but my preference for designing sites is Wix. The main reson for this is that it is so user-friendly for my clients to manage themselves once it's built and online.

I have experience of working with WordPress but I no longer offer this as a service. I’ve been working with Wix for 10 years now and know it like the back of my hand!

I find WordPress much more complex and because I have become so quick at creating sites in Wix I can keep my design and maintenance prices affordable for small business owners.

When I have finished your design project and when we launch your new site I will give you comprehensive support to enable you to manage and make edits to your website if you wish.

Wix also has an extensive knowledge base resource of information and tutorials, along with a dedicated technical support. However, for any questions you may have regarding your site I am always contactable by email.

For many of my clients I manage their websites ongoing and carry out any edits or updates for them, if you would prefer to use my services ongoing I do maintenace work at an hourly rate of £30.

The following are things to consider in addition to the website packages I offer:

Domain name:

When purchasing a premium plan Wix offer a free domain name for the first year, this is useful if you don't already own a domain name. It is worth checking that the domain name you require is available (I can do this for you).

Copywriting:

All of your website copy will need to be provided, alternatively I can provide a copywriting service for an additional fee.

Images:

Any images that you would like included on your website, including your logo, will need to be provided. If you don't have your own images there are a number of websites where you can purchase stock images.

Website Policies:

You are responsible for providing any website policies that need to be added to your site to satisfy UK law and/or regulations; such as a Privacy and cookies policy, terms of business or delivery and returns policies for ecommerce stores.

Once we have agreed a date to start on your project, you will receive an invoice for a 50% deposit. Then, when the project is complete you will receive an invoice for the remaining 50%. This will all be written out in our terms of business and contract.
